The Law of Awareness #2 You Must Know Yourself to Grow Yourself

The Law of Awareness says You must know yourself to grow yourself. What that means is that in order to achieve growth, you must hone in on who you are and what you desire to do 😉💪☑

Mengasihi Musuhmu? (berdasarkan Matius 5:43-47)

🤔🙏📖#ServeToLead #InjilMatius

Motif Apabila Melakukan Amal Ibadat (berdasarkan Matius 6:1)

Periksa MOTIF kamu ☑💪😉 #ServeToLead #InjilMatius

Good Leader Initiates

A good leader initiates. God, the Greatest Leader, always take initiative. He creates the universe (Genesis 1-2), redeems humanity, came into the world. Because we are created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and to "rule" (1:28) a.k.a. to lead (a.k.a. to serve) under Him, we too must initiate 😉💪📖 #ServeToLead #GrowingLeader

The Law of Intentionality #1 Growth Doesn't Just Happen

The Law of Intentionality #1 says growth doesn't just happen  John C. Maxwell, says, Personal growth doesnt just happen on its own. Personal growth requires intentionality; it requires a plan and it takes work." If you want tangible growth you must make it a tangible target. You must be willing to start, to be willing to make mistakes, to face your fears and doubts, and to set tangible growth targets. Please don’t just assume that growth will “just happen”, hope is NOT a strategy 🤭😉💪

Angelus' Quote: Be a Person Who Make Others Feel Great

"One thing scientists have discovered," notes Thomas Driener, "is that often-praised children become more intelligent than often-blamed ones. There's a creative element in praise." Praise is not just very important for children but as long as someone is breathing, that person needs it!

I love this story: an elderly lady made it a habit to find something in others she could commend. One day she heard a visiting preacher preach a terrible sermon. How could she commend him for that? After the service, she said to him, "You had a wonderful text today" 🤭🤣😉 #ServeToLead

Angelus' Quote: Let Prayer Be Your Weapon

Speech is what distinguishes human beings from animals, but prayer distinguishes the children of God from the children of this world. We use speech to communicate our thoughts to each other, but prayer is the speech we use to commune with God 😉🙏 #ServeToLead #GrowingLeader

Four (4) Books for Inspiring Focused-Leader #1Book1Week

I just finished reading Chris Bailey's Hyperfocus (2018) and my conclusion is that attentional-focus is a superpower in a world of distraction today 😉 As a leader, especially, you have a fixed amount of attention units that you can spend in a day, week, or year. Are you spending yours on the right things? Ronald Heifetz puts it this way: "Attention is the currency of leadership."

If you want to improve your productivity in the smartphone and social media generation today and be more effective in general, I would like to recommend these books (I have read) to you:

1) The ONE Thing: The Surprising Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results (2012) by Gary Keller & Jay Papasan

2) Deep Work: Rules for Focused Success in a Distracted World (2016) by Cal Newport

3) Focus: The Hidden Driver of Excellence (2013) by Daniel Goleman

4) Hyperfocus: How to Be More Productive in a World of Distraction (2018) by Chris Bailey

I Am The Way: The Amazing Claims of Jesus (Podcast)

This an unofficial reading of Jack Kuharschek's I Am The Way: The Amazing Claims of Jesus (2018, Our Daily Bread Ministries). In this booklet, Kuhatschek examines the words of Jesus about Himself. In Jesus' time, the magnitude of His claims were astonishing to the people around Him, especially the religious leaders of the day. There's no better source for understanding who Jesus is than the statements He made about Himself. Be transformed by some of the most powerful "I am" claims of the Saviour and gain an understanding of how wonderful He truly IS!

#1Book1Week Lists January 2020

"Every person who knows how to read has it in his power to magnify himself," said Aldous Huxley, "...to make his life full, significant and interesting" 😊 January was a busy month for me as I slowly (maybe 'slow' is not the right word, neither 'fast', so) continue the joyful vocation after Sabbatical leave last year 🤫 But since reading has become my habit and part of my life, even in the midst of busy schedule I will find time to read books. More accurately, intentionally "allocate" time to read! Here are my #1Book1Week January 2020:

1) The Fear of the Lord: Discover the Key to Intimately Knowing God (1997) by John Bevere

2) Studies in the Sermon on the Mount (1984) by Martyn Lloyd-Jones [finally finished after a few months of slower reading]

3) The Heart of a Tender Warrior: Becoming a Man of Purpose (2002) by Stu Weber

4) Start! - The Bible for New Believers: New Testament (NKJV) selected books/letters

Angelus' Quote: Where Are the Followers?

Joshua followed Moses for more than 40 years before he led the children of Israel into the promised land. Elisha served Elijah for 10 years before he took up his master’s mantle and went on to perform even more miracles. The Apostle Peter followed Jesus for about 3 years—and made a lot of mistakes—before he and his fellow-disciples became first Church leaders.

If you want to be a good leader, you must first become a good follower. Being a good follower is underrated today. Be one anyway. If you read history, almost always bad 'leaders' making their followers' lives miserable simply because they never learned to be good followers 😅🙂😊 #ServeToLead #GrowingLeader

Angelus' Quote: Nearly All Good Leaders are First Good Followers

Being a good follower doesn’t make you a “sheep" (negatively speaking). A mindless and blind follower is bad but a respectful and wise follower is good. The truth is that most of us are in followership roles regularly, perhaps in our families, workplaces, social circles or other settings. In my experience, observations and based on my reading: Nearly all good leaders are first good followers.

I love this one question by Michael Hyatt, my favorite leadership podcaster, when he asks, "Nearly everyone sees themselves as leaders. But where are the followers?" 😊😉👍 #ServeToLead #GrowingLeader

Angelus' Quote: You Are Stronger than You Seem

This quote, although being spoken by a fictional character, is quite interesting and true. It urges us to remember, amidst our brokenness and imperfection, that we truly are braver, stronger and smarter than we might admit, even to ourselves.

In our crazy-critical world, we often forget this little bit of advice. We become timid, more afraid of what we have to lose than what we might gain. We become doubtful, forgetting our inner strength. We become dull and habit-bound, forgetting our intelligence and our resourcefulness. We forget our true selves or allow them to become so distant as to be mere dreams or faded memories. We are admonished by the quote to always remember 💪😉😁 #ServeToLead #GrowingLeader

Angelus' Quote: Leaders are 'Empty' If...

Self-Centered Leader: I hold a grudge against people who don’t treat me with the respect I deserve. People should recognize how critical I am to the organization/committee/team

Servant Leader: I recognize that each person in our organization/committee/team is important and I want to be sure they know it
_____________

Self-Centered Leader: I don’t mind cutting corners if it will bring greater success. I can overlook a few, minor ethical issues if the end result is good for the bottom line

Servant Leader: I take a stand for integrity and make certain my character is not tainted by my drive for success
_____________

Self-Centered Leader: It’s important that my name is associated with successful projects that I’ve contributed to in some way. However, if a project has failed, I’m quick to point out who is to blame

Servant Leader: I recognize that success is a team effort and I want to be sure the whole team receives proper praise. If the project is not a success, I evaluate the weakness, take responsibility and find solutions to ensure success the next time

Angelus' Quote: When You Fear God

When I read the Scripture, the phrase "the fear of the Lord" occurs over and over again. In the Old Testament alone, there are more than 300 references that speak of the fear of the Lord. What is the fear of God? It means, simply put, reverential trust and respect and hatred of evil.

A.W. Tozer, in his classic book Whatever Happened to Worship, explains it better: "The fear of God is... astonishing reverence. I believe that the reverential fear of God mixed with love and fascination and astonishment and admiration and devotion is the most enjoyable state and the most satisfying emotion the human soul can know." Lapan (8) Berkat yang Difirmankan oleh Yesus Kristus (#InjilMatius)

Semua orang ingin diberkati.

Apa??? > Apa kata Yesus Kristus
> apa kata Rasul Paulus

Yesus tentang Isu Berkahwin & Bercerai (Matius 5:31-32)
