Introducing Jesus: A Graphic Guide (2012) by Anthony O’Hear & Judy Groves

The illustrations are amazing, the writing is simple, but the contents are a bit misguiding. I acknowledge that this is NOT a Christian book and so it is not fair for me to make a bias conclusion. For sure, this book is interesting, but I would not refer to anyone who wanted to know more about Jesus or Christianity to this book. There are some books about Jesus by non-Christians (in fact, by those who are a little more critical) that are better such as Reza Aslan or Bart Ehrman. I think the author is very ambitious by trying to cover so many heavy topics like philosophy, theology, and teleology over a couple of pages. Too many interpretations, too little of what the main sources really say about the most influential Man on earth. I understand that this book is meant to be an introduction or overview, but I think it can be more useful if the author (actually, the publisher) can focus on some key points about the historical Jesus especially in the New Testament.

I have nothing much to say 😅 I’m not sure either I’m disappointed or glad that I’ve finished it – knowing that at least I’ve learned how others think of Jesus ✌🤓😉 #1Book1Week #LeadersAreReaders #LetsMakeReadingCoolAgain #SecularJesus

Fixed Mindset vs Growth Mindset: How to Change Your Life?

Being an A+ student is always an advantage. But I'm not. I love to go to school because I want to meet and play with my friends. I think I break the school's rules more than follow the rules of success to become an A+ student. Regardless, either you score good or bad grades in the educational system (it's not a good system anyway), if you have a growth mindset, you can change your life #ServeToLead #GrowingLeader #GrowthMindset

Be the 1% Leader

My friend Kennedy gave me a book entitled Be the 1% by Dr Aammton Alias. This book is not about leadership, but when I think about it, it does relate to leadership. To be the real 1%, Aammton said, "has nothing to do with the wealthiest 1% of the world. The real 1% are far richer and powerful beyond measure." They are not the greatest, talented or privilege but, they [leaders] who have the bias for actions.

It's So Worthy to GROW As a Leader

Being a good leader is so much harder than it looks. What's difficult about leadership is that nobody ever sits you down and "teaches" you what being a real leader is all about. There's no class in early education that defines leadership. Friends and colleagues at the office tend to label leaders as "overachievers" (and not in a good way). In college, leadership is reduced to who is going to talk the most during a presentation.

It's hard and often misunderstood... and that's why it's so worthy to GROW as a leader. 💪😉😇 There are people who don't want you to grow, reduce you to their limited thinking. Not you... GROW!

“Kitab Yunus berbeza daripada kitab-kitab nabi yang lain di dalam Alkitab kerana kitab ini menceritakan pengalaman Nabi Yunus ketika dia cuba membantah perintah Allah. Allah menyuruh dia pergi ke Kota Niniwe, ibu kota Kerajaan Asyur, musuh Israel. Tetapi Yunus tidak mahu pergi ke kota itu untuk menyampaikan perkhabaran Allah kerana Yunus yakin bahawa jika orang Niniwe berhenti berbuat dosa, Allah tidak akan melaksanakan rancangan-Nya untuk menghancurkan kota itu. Akhirnya, selepas beberapa peristiwa yang mengesankan, Yunus mentaati perintah Allah. Tetapi kemudian Yunus bersungut kerana Niniwe tidak dihancurkan.

Kitab Yunus menggambarkan kemutlakan kuasa Allah terhadap ciptaan-Nya. Tetapi terlebih pula, kitab ini menggambarkan Allah sebagai Allah yang penyayang dan belas kasihan; Allah yang lebih suka mengampuni dan menyelamatkan suatu bangsa daripada menghukum dan menghancurkannya, walaupun bangsa itu musuh umat-Nya sendiri.”
