In his short book or an essay he wrote for the Harvard Business Review, Leadership that Gets Results, Daniel Goleman outlines six leadership styles based on each emotional intelligence. Each style fits a different situation or context. A good leader needs to be able to switch between them.
Goleman wrote: "Leaders who have mastered four or more—especially the authoritative, democratic, affiliative, and coaching styles—have the very best climate and business performance."
