Five (5) Rules of Relationships (#GrowingLeader)

Relationships help us define who we are and what we can become. In the area of leadership, relationships are crucial. In fact, John C. Maxwell, who taught me to be
R.E.A.L. (Relationship, Equipping, Attitude, Leadership), says, "Relationships are the foundation of leadership." I don't know about you, but I'm naturally not a people person. So these five (5) rules help me a lot:

1) GET ALONG WITH YOURSELF - The one relationship you will have until you die is with yourself. Treat yourself with the respect and love you deserve.

2) VALUE PEOPLE - You cannot make another person feel important if you secretly feel that he or she is a nobody. Recognize that everyone has innate value and treat them accordingly.

3) MAKE THE EFFORT TO FORM RELATIONSHIPS - The result of a person who has never served others? Loneliness (I always see this in WhatsApp statuses). Be proactive! Make the effort. Reach out.

4) UNDERSTAND THE RECIPROCITY RULE - What you put into the lives of others comes back into your own. That's why I love to inspire you through LEGASI.tv. Your growth is my joy.

5) FOLLOW THE GOLDEN RULE - Do unto others as you would have them do unto you (but take considerations of people's real needs, contexts, and personalities).

I'm still learning. What is your best rule/principle/technique? 😊⚡✔ #ServeToLead #RelationshipLeadership #GrowingLeader

Angelus' Quote: Everybody Needs Encouragement!

After I finished reading a book on leadership, I wrote on the last empty page, something that struck my mind when I read about how Paul encouraged Timothy to stay faithful to his call. I wrote in big letters: "Everybody needs encouragement!"

"I have yet to find the man," said Charles Schwab, "however exalted his station, who did not do better work and put forth greater effort under a spirit of approval than under a spirit of criticism" 😘 Appreciate other, encourage one today #GrowingLeader #ServeToLead

Angelus' Quote: Leadership and Lack of Appreciation

Do you build people up or tear them down? Encourage or discourage others? Try to be the hero or serve them as a servant of God?

According to researcher Tom Rath at Gallop, the number one reason why people quit their jobs is LACK OF APPRECIATION. Everyone wants to feel significant, to be recognized for what they do. Benjamin Disraeli says, "The greatest good you can do for another is not just to share your riches but to reveal to him his own."

When I've finished the chapter 2 of my short Bible Study videos on the Gospel of Luke, not many people as excited and celebrate with me. But for the few that do, I'm encouraged. I will continue doing it until the end because I believe that I may encourage others that want to do the same - and help to develop them to be better than me. To be good leaders 🙏💪👍
