John C. Maxwell says in
his highly recommended book The 21
Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, The Law of the Lid, "Leadership
ability determines a person's level of effectiveness." Or, in my
own paraphrase, to see how the leader is doing, look at the people he/she is
leading. Broken families? Look at the leaders (a.k.a. parents). Churches break
down? Look at the leaders. Chaotic government? Look at the leaders.
Now, at some point, people
are responsible for their own decisions or indecisions. But leaders almost
